  • Why hire a pet professional?
When it comes to caring for your pets, it's important to consider hiring a professional. There are several reasons why. First, you can rest assured that your pet is in good hands, as you can rely on their expertise. A pet professional is trained to pay close attention to your pet's individual needs for their overall health and safety. Second, hiring a pet professional can save you time and energy. If you have a busy schedule, it can be difficult to give your pet the attention and care they need. By hiring a professional, you can ensure that your pet is getting the proper care and attention they deserve, even when you're not available to provide it. Third, a pet professional can help you identify any potential health issues or behavioral problems before they become more serious. They can also provide you with advice on how to prevent these issues from occurring in the first place, such as proper nutrition and exercise. Overall, hiring a pet professional is a great investment in your pet's health and happiness. It allows you to have peace of mind knowing that your beloved companion is receiving the best possible care, and enables you to enjoy your time with them even more.
  • Are you insured and bonded?
Yes, Treat Me is proud to be insured and bonded for you and your pets' safety.

Treat Me takes care of all kinds of pets, no matter how big or small. While we mostly look after dogs and cats, we also cater rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, lizards and other small pets. Are you wondering whether we can take care of your unique pet? Please don't hesitate to get in touch!
  • My pet has medical needs, can you care for them?
Our team provides excellent medical treatment services for pets. However, the success of administering medication or injections depends on the type of treatment and the pet's willingness to cooperate. While our team members are always happy to assist, some pets may be shy around strangers and difficult to manage. Nevertheless, if it's as simple as putting a pill in wet food and watching your pet consume it, then it should be an easy task.
  • Do you offer services on major holidays?
Our team is dedicated to providing professional pet care services all year long. We believe that no pet should be left behind, especially during the often-stressful holiday season. To accommodate our clients during holidays, we charge a holiday fee per day. • How are my keys handled?
We understand the importance of ensuring the safety of your home and pets. To best fit your needs, we offer several key options. When choosing your key option, please have copies of your keys and any codes available during the meet-and-greet process. 1 .Keys - We require two sets of keys when key-code or garage code access is not available. One set will be stored in a coded safe at our home office, with numbered tag identification for emergency use. The second set will be given to the assigned Team Member. If there are multiple Team Members assigned to your service, we will request permission to make extra copies. All keys will be labeled with a numbered tag, and no personal information will be recorded on them. If you wish to have your keys returned after your service, a pick-up and drop off fee of $20.00 will be required. Alternatively, if there is another secure way to ensure the safety of your home, your sitter can leave the key in your home during the final visit. 2. Lockbox - If you decide to provide a lockbox, you can add the location and code to your client portal for safe keeping. 3. Codes - A key-code or garage code can be used to enter your home. Vacation clients are requested to provide a copy of their house key for pet sitting services, which will be securely kept in their client portal in case of emergencies like a power outage.
  • Do you charge extra to walk multiple dogs?
Price of each walk includes up to two dogs per household. An additional $5 will be added per additional dog. We will only walk up to three dogs together from the same household. When walking multiple dogs, it's essential that they behave well together. If your dogs do not walk well together, they must be walked separately, and you will be charged per walk.
  • Will you walk my dog off-leash?
No. Dogs are not permitted to roam free or off-leash while outside in unfenced areas or off your property under any circumstances. If you have an invisible fence, ensure that your dog(s) are wearing their collars and that the collar is in proper working order.
  • Will my dog get a walk when it's snowing or raining?
Our team is dedicated to walking your dogs and will walk in various weather conditions. However, we prioritize the safety and comfort of our furry friends, and may modify walks in cases of inclement weather. This may include substituting on-leash potty breaks and indoor playtime. In the event of severe weather warnings - such as winter storms or thunderstorms - dog walks may be cancelled altogether.
  • What walking equipment should I provide?
We use our own leashes while walking your pets. However, please keep your pets leashes visible or in an area where we can access them in case an emergency arises All pets must have proper identification tags. We insist on all dogs being walked with the appropriate collar or harness, keeping their size and temperament in mind. The chosen collar or harness must be secure and well-fitted. Not all types of walking equipment work for dogs that tend to pull or lunge. These behaviors can pose a threat to both the dog and the walker. If we determine that a dog's current walking equipment is inadequate to ensure our safety or your pets safety we will contact you to explore alternative walking equipment options for your pet.
  • Do you charge a fee for additional pets?
We do not charge for more than one pet during pet-sitting services. Our fees are based on the duration of time we spend at your home. After the meet-and-greet, we may suggest a specific length of time for a visit if we believe it will take longer than what you initially requested. If a visit runs over the scheduled time, a $10 charge will apply for every additional 30 minutes our caregiver spends with your furry friend.
  • Will the same Team Member always service my home while I'm on vacation?
When selecting a sitter for your pets, we take into account your location, dates of service, and level of care required. We make every effort to ensure that two professionals are assigned to your service as pets depend on their routine. However, if your trip is lengthy, a third sitter may need to be added. If a sitter did not attend the initial meet-and-greet, we'll arrange a staff training visit so they can become familiar with your home and pets. Additionally, you are welcome to schedule another meet-and-greet with the other team members for a $20 fee.
  • What time I should expect the sitter to arrive at my home?
We offer up to four visits per day for your furry friends.
